Tegallalang Rice Terrace Bali

Tegallalang Rice Terrace is one of the main tourist attractions in Bali. It is located north of Ubud in a beautiful valley, around a 20-minute drive from the town centre. The road is super easy and motorbike friendly! Once you are at Tegallalang, You will need anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5-hour to explore every corner of the terraces.

Tegallalang is best in the early morning or in the late afternoon as this is the quietest time visit. Tourist buses mean that herds of people turn up around 10am, so it's a good idea to to arrive before that. The light is also perfect at these times of day for piccys!!Visiting at sunrise is beyond magical, and at this time-outs much cooler which makes all the steps a lot easier! It's free to visit, however owners of the rice terraces plots will ask you for a donation fee, 10000 RP per personal couple is a good amount, which is around £1. You'll find that if you take photos with them, also they will ask for money.

You can also combine Tegallalang with one of the many waterfalls or traditional restaurants, my fav being D'Alas Warung.
